While traveling to Virginia Beach, VA, for a birthday vacation, the smell of sizzling bacon and a hot breakfast made me pull over for some breakfast. The closest thing nearby was the Executive Diner; an old-fashioned aesthetic restaurant which serves all-day breakfast & typical diner fare.
After settling down at a table, I ordered the Farm Omelet. A meal that contains a nice-sized omelet stuffed with ham, bacon, red/green bell peppers, onions, shredded jack cheese, and cheddar cheese. The meal comes with toast and one choice of sides; I chose potatoes. Surprisingly enough, my tastebuds couldn't get enough of this omelet. The salty, savory flavor of the bacon, bell peppers, and onions mixed with the smoothness of the melted cheese and omelet had me wanting another order.
The potatoes were soft but didn't have any flavor or seasoning on them. Looking at them from a distance, you see that it looks good. The edges are dark brown, you see hints of parsley flakes, and there's a shiny coat of what looks like a delicious side. Then you take a bite and you think to yourself, "...…Where's the ketchup?"
Overall, the omelet was good and the potatoes could use more salt. If I could relive my omelet dance party, I would do it in a heartbeat.
