Ted Bulletin - Washington, D.C.

Updated: Aug 21

Before exploring the U.S. Capitol, I decided to stop by a restaurant/bar, an all-day breakfast spot called Ted Bulletin. An American-stylized breakfast and brunch restaurant which specializes in serving "comfort food".

Entering the building, I was quickly seated and was entertained with a large projector that screened episodes of "I Love Lucy". Since I eat alone, I appreciated having something to look at other than my phone and/or people-watching in the restaurant. I ordered the Steak and Eggs, which comes with an 8oz flatiron steak, two eggs (scrambled), chimichurri, and cheddar grits. The steak by itself tasted juicy for a well-done steak, and adding the chimichurri sauce (Ingredients: chopped fresh parsley, oregano, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, and red pepper flakes) gave it the flavor it needed. The cheesy grits were the best part of the meal, being a savory side that could've been it's own entree. The worst part of the dish were the scrambled eggs. They were bland and didn't carry any hint of salt with them.

Overall, the meal was a good start to my day in D.C. Would I suggest this specific meal to anyone? Sure, if they want a filling meal for breakfast. But I'd mainly lean on them to get another meal that includes cheesy grits.
